Good health begins on the inside. Remember the age-old adage: “You are what you eat.” Well, that goes for your dog too! You could probably live quite a long time on McDonald’s every day… but it wouldn’t be good for you! My job as a Canine Nutritionist is to help you learn what’s good for your dog, what’s bad, and WHY. That way you can make better decisions about what to feed your dog to help him/her not only live longer, but BETTER.

Just as there is no one-size-fits-all diet for humans, the same holds true for our canine companions. Some dogs thrive on a raw diet, others do better on a home-cooked diet with supplements. Still others may require a grain-free diet, and others may need a bit more fiber in their diet. What is the perfect diet for the active working dog might be devastating for the older, diabetic dog. Don’t despair - I can help make sense of it all and get your dog on the right track!

On this site, you will find honest, professional reviews of commercial diets, questions and answers about kibble, raw feeding, BARF (no, that’s not vomit!) and more in-depth topics like food allergies and special needs diets. For those who need further assistance, I offer specialized nutritional consultations at very reasonable rates to help you make sure your dog gets the best nutrition he/she can for a long, happy, HEALTHY life. I specialize in large and giant breed nutrition but offer consultations and advice for any dog, no matter the size or breed.
